Mga Pastol Sa Sabsaban
What would you tell Pope Francis if you had the chance? This is what the Communication Foundation for Asia and Family Matters on TV explore upon in the reflective docu-drama special “Mga Pastol sa Sabsaban: Pagninilay Para Sa Pagdalaw Ni Pope Francis”. In this video special, two students — Vonn and Dorcie — partnered to do a social research project. With the Papal visit as their focal point, they interviewed ordinary citizens of different social standings about what their personal statements they would share with the Pope given the chance to meet or talk to him in person. Along the way, Vonn and Dorcie reflect on the answers they get and relate these in their lives also – leading them to Pope Francis’ teachings.
The Philippines is being geared up to be interconnected through a system called One Wired Nation (OWN) and eventually have faster and easier access to information across the country. But this is not what it seems. MASKARA follows the story of Pia Gorospe as she tries to uncover the truth behind the death of Willie Miranda, the PrimeCon Executive and the Author of the project OWN. As she slowly puts bits and pieces of the clues left by Willie to her before he was murdered, Pia gets to meet Bert Javelo, PrimeCon’s suave marketing executive and Alex Mayo, a military intelligence operative. One of them is hiding the truth and pretends to be in love with her. The other one is defending the truth and would be willing to die for her. Their quest for truth takes them all the way to Marinduque as the quaint town which celebrates the Moriones tradition.
