본 드라마는 푸줏간 주인의 딸 번장옥과 곤경에 빠진 후작 사정이 눈보라 속에서 운명적으로 만나는 이야기를 다룬다.

마침내 전장에서 재회한 두 사람은 목숨 걸고 적을 무찌른다. 권력 앞에 굴하지 않고 진실을 밝히며 고향으로 돌아와 초심을 지킨다.
