Suspicious Neighbors

Moving into a new home feels like the beginning of happiness, but the male neighbor across the hall becomes increasingly unsettling. Clothes on the drying rack change almost unnoticeably; strange rustling sounds echo outside the door in the dead of night; a face appears and vanishes at the window in a flash... Is it groundless suspicion born of oversensitivity? Or is it real? Only when the dusty door handle is quietly twisted does the whole facade of happiness shatter in a single moment.
